STAMP ACTIVE NETWORK
The new Chairman of Stamp Active, Susan Henderson reports that at Spring Stampex the Kids Zone, run by the Stamp Active Network, sponsored by The Philatelic Traders’ Society, was the area of real interest for children. There were very few children attending on weekdays as this was, once again, in term time but there were a reasonable number of children taking part in the activities and the auction that followed which brought very positive feedback from both the youngsters and their parents! It was interesting to note that about half the visitors were there for the first time. A feature in the youth area was the opportunity to create some “Stamp Art” by decorating a post box.
The theme of the activities this time was “Around the World” with a range of activities, a Word Search and Quiz based on a display on the theme.
The website can be found at www.stampactive.co.uk

DIRECTORY AND SPEAKERS LIST
Neil Richie's work on a National Speaker List is ongoing and the details of those who have responded to emails positively have been sent to the ABPS webmaster for inclusion onto
the ABPS website.
The process of obtaining GDPR approval from the speakers resulted in a total of 241 emails being successfully delivered, 20 bounced back (these faulty email addresses have been rectified) and one person unsubscribed. The number of these emails opened was 162. The number of persons now actively on the National Speaker List stands at 142. The total numbers of persons on the original speaker list was 338 of which 16 have requested deletion.
Neil will be sending another email to those 180 that have not responded. It is proposed that at the end of 2019 persons on the list that have not responded will have their names and contact details removed to comply with GDPR.
